About

The Schools Program is an exciting learning opportunity involving the partnership between the Department of Education and Child Development (DECD) and RSL-SA. The partnership has been built around the use of the RSL Virtual War Memorial for teaching and learning relating to the Australian Curriculum: History at Years 9 and 10 and Civics and Citizenship at Year 10. Students research and build a profile of an individual who has served Australia, discovering and documenting his or her wartime experience.

Through the education portal students have the opportunity, under teacher moderation, to publish their work on the website. Each published profile will be making an important contribution to the body of knowledge available about the experience and impact of service in the conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

We are also happy to work with and support primary schools. To join the program or to find out more
